Compare and contrast two positions with precision and balance
A comparison essay can use two structures: Block (all of A, then all of B) or Point-by-point (compare A and B on each criterion in turn). Point-by-point is generally stronger at B2 as it shows direct comparison.
State clearly what you are comparing and why. Signal the structure you will use.
For each criterion, state the similarity or difference, provide evidence, and evaluate.
Use a precise range of comparative connectors — not just "pero". Similarities and differences need different phrases.
The conclusion does not just restate — it evaluates which option is better or explains why it depends on circumstances.
