Language for reviews

Positive language
The film was utterly gripping from start to finish.
What sets it apart is the stunning cinematography.
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the service.
Negative language (tactful)
The plot, while engaging, could have been more original.
One minor drawback is the limited menu.

Recommendation phrases

I would highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys...
This is not to be missed if you are visiting the area.
On balance, the positives far outweigh the negatives.
I would think twice before recommending this to a family with children.
Always make your recommendation clear. A review without a verdict is incomplete.

Sample review (annotated)

A Perfect Escape from the City

Having heard so much about Restaurante Sol, I finally visited last weekend with high expectations — and I was not disappointed. [intro + general impression]

The menu offers a broad range of Mediterranean dishes, and the quality of the ingredients is exceptional. The service was attentive without being intrusive. [specific details]

On the downside, the prices are on the high side, which may put off budget-conscious diners. [balanced]

I would highly recommend Restaurante Sol to anyone looking for a special occasion dinner. It is well worth the price. [recommendation]
