What does Part 2 test?

Part 2 has 8 gaps in a short text. You write ONE word in each gap. The answer is usually a small grammatical word — articles, prepositions, auxiliaries, pronouns, conjunctions, comparatives.

Strategy

Read the whole text first to understand it
For each gap, ask: what type of word fits? (preposition? article? auxiliary?)
Use the surrounding words as clues
Try your answer in the sentence — does it sound natural?
Spelling matters! Recieve is wrong; receive is right
Only ONE word — never write two words
