Part 1 — Short Messages
Five short independent texts, each with a 3-option multiple choice question. Texts can be signs, notices, emails, or text messages.
Strategy
- Read the text and decide where you might see it.
- Identify the main purpose of the text (e.g. warning, informing, suggesting).
- Read all three options carefully before choosing.
- Pay attention to modal verbs and words that change meaning.
- Time: about 10 minutes.
