After verbs and prepositions

Object pronouns go after the verb or after to/for/with/about

After verb

After "to"
She gave it to me. (NOT to I)
After "for"
He did it for us.
After "with"
Come with her.
After "about"

Double objects: give/send/show

Two possible word orders

Verb + person + thing
Give me the book. / Send her the message.
Verb + thing + to/for + person

When the object is a pronoun, prefer: Give it to me. (NOT: Give me it — less natural with pronoun object.)
