The DELF A1 (Diplôme d'Études en Langue Française) is an official certification for beginners awarded by the French Ministry of Education. It confirms your ability to communicate in basic, everyday situations and certifies you at the CEFR A1 level.

The Reading comprehension paper tests your ability to understand simple written materials such as notices, posters, and short messages. You will answer multiple-choice and matching questions based on everyday texts.
Each of the four papers is scored out of 25, for a total of 100 points. To pass, you need a minimum overall score of 50/100 and at least 5/25 in each individual paper.
