Exam Strategy
Prepare with these strategies to confidently face each part of the DELE A2 exam.
Reading comprehension
Time: 60 minutes
- Read the questions first to know what to look for in the text.
- Underline key words while reading to quickly locate answers.
- Eliminate obviously incorrect options before deciding.
- Manage your time: dedicate no more than 15 minutes to each task.
Listening comprehension
Time: 30 minutes
- Listen to the entire recording before answering to grasp the overall idea.
- Note down key words and numbers while the audio plays.
- Use the test prompts to predict the kind of information you will need.
- Do not dwell on unknown words; keep listening and understand the context.
Written expression and interaction
Time: 60 minutes
- Briefly plan the structure (greeting, body, farewell) before writing.
- Use simple sentences and basic connectors like "porque", "pero", "y".
- Review the spelling of accents and the ñ at the end of each sentence.
- Respect the word limit and verify that you have responded to all prompts.
Oral expression and interaction
Time: ~20 minutes
- Practice answering typical questions in 30-45 seconds to gain fluency.
- Use expressions of politeness and starting formulas like "En mi opinión…" or "Yo pienso que…".
- Maintain eye contact and show a positive attitude to gain interaction points.
- If you don't understand, politely ask them to repeat: "¿Puede repetir, por favor?".
