A — Emma's Holiday
I went to the mountains with my family. We stayed in a small wooden cabin. There was no internet, so we couldn't watch movies, but we played lots of board games in the evening. During the day, we walked for hours and saw some beautiful lakes. The weather was quite cold, but it was a great adventure.
B — Lucas's Holiday
My friends and I spent a week in a big city. We stayed in a really cheap hotel right in the centre. We spent most of our time visiting museums and art galleries. We also went shopping and ate in some fantastic restaurants. We walked everywhere, so my feet were very tired by the end of the trip!
C — Chloe's Holiday
I just wanted to relax, so I went to the beach with my sister. We stayed at a lovely hotel with a big swimming pool. We didn't do much at all! We just lay in the sun, read books, and went swimming in the sea. The weather was perfect—hot and sunny every single day. I feel so rested now.

A New Sport

14-year-old David recently started playing a new sport called underwater hockey. He first saw it on TV and thought it looked really fun. He already loved swimming, so he decided to find a local team and join.

Underwater hockey is played at the bottom of a swimming pool. Players wear a mask and use a small stick to push a heavy puck across the bottom of the pool into the other team's goal. Because you are underwater, you have to hold your breath. David says this was the hardest part to learn at first.

David practices twice a week with his team. They are called the 'Water Dragons'. Most of the other players are older than David, but they are very friendly and have taught him a lot. "They swim much faster than me," David says, "but I am getting better every week."

Next month, David's team is playing in a regional competition. David is very excited because his parents are coming to watch him play for the first time. They bought him a new stick for the competition.
